FAQ
What brand of chemicals do you use?
I use a variety of brands for auto detailing. A few of my favorites are Carpro, Gtechniq, P&S, Clean by Pan, Cerakote, Adam's, The Rag Company, DIY Detail
What is your most popular package?
The Premium Detailing Package. This package is more extensive & in depth.
How do I know which package to choose?
Great question. Typically, the Primary package is meant for vehicles that are maintained on a regular basis & don't need as much attention. The Premium package is meant for vehicles that are not maintained on a regular basis, have more dirt/grime/dust & are in need of a more in depth cleaning.
How long does it typically take you to detail my vehicle?
That depends on a few things such as size of the vehicle, condition, package selection & any add on service you may choose. I will give you an estimate of how long I think it will take.
What is a Ceramic Coating, why would I want that & why is it more expensive?
All great questions. A ceramic coating is the highest level of protection you can place on your paint. It has extreme hydrophobic properties (water repellency), very slick, adds gloss, makes maintaining & washing your vehicle easier, has self cleaning properties & it adds some UV protection to the paint. The ceramic coatings I use have a manufacture rating of 2-3 years. With proper maintenance they could last 4-5 years. Ceramic coatings are expensive due to the amount of prep work that is involved & must be done prior to the coating application.
How do I know if my vehicle needs the 2 step paint correction vs the 1 step included in the ceramic coating package?
I will assess the vehicle in person once it has been thoroughly deconned/washed. When I go to begin the paint correction process is when I will know whether or not your vehicle needs a 2 step paint correction. I would then communicate to you the additional cost of $150. A 2nd step involves started with a heavy duty microfiber cutting pad to get out some of the deeper scratches that a 1 step correction will not remove. It is then followed with a finishing/polishing pad to achieve amazing gloss.
How do I maintain a ceramic coating?
The best way to maintain a ceramic coating is to wash your vehicle at least once/month. A pH neutral soap is okay to use. If you see any reduction in the coatings performance, a low pH soap can be used to "unclog" the coating & bring it back to life. If you so desire, after washing your vehicle apply a ceramic topper spray to make your coating last even longer.
